Inspiration!

How often we feel uninspired in our lives and in our endeavors! Sometimes we are so busy, tired and stressed we can only go through the motions of living life, with very little room for joy, creativity or inspiration.

Inspiration can mean different things to different people. To the scientist inspiration can be an idea that leads to a unique discovery. To the artist inspiration can lead to the creation of a masterpiece. In spirituality to be inspired is to feel called by a Higher Power.

The ancient Greeks would begin their songs, poems and stories with a prayer for inspiration, as supplication to the gods or as an invocation to the muse.

The acts of prayer, meditation, manifestation and divination can offer us inspiration. Whether that inspiration is simply the strength to get through the day, the push to creativity or a call to greatness, inspiration is something we all need.

April Global Tarot Circle Recap

Global Tarot Circle meets once a month online. In April we met on Monday the 8th. We had folks from all over the United States, including Florida, Maine, Kentucky, Connecticut and California. As usual, some of our participants were professional readers, others were tarot beginners and others were somewhere in-between.

One of the goals of Tarot Circle is to gather tarot enthusiasts of all levels of experience together for the purpose of learning from each other.

One of the participants had a question about Court Cards, so we spent some time talking about ways of interpreting the Pages, Knights, Queens and Kings.

We always like to read for each other at Tarot Circle. This time we did one -card readings for each other with no questions. The thing is, whenever no question is asked of the cards there is always an inherent question, which is this. "What does this person most need to know right now?"

Each experienced reader had the opportunity to do a reading. Each person who received a reading seemed to find it helpful and relevant.

In honor of April Fool's Day we had a conversation about the tarot Fool. We talked about the spiritual lessons of the Fool, as well as possible interpretations. The big question was whether or not the Fool card can indicate inappropriate risks, or serve as a warning. We decided that in some situations it could, depending on the context of the question and the surrounding cards.

What's Up at the Psychic Café?

We had a great show on April 7th. In fact, one of our viewers called it "epic."! Our first guest was Pagan psychic tarot reader Helene Martz. We discussed everything from pet peeves to the divine feminine.

We played a video designed by Michelle Angel and featuring Robin Renee. The song was a kirtan chant calle "Jai Ma," which honors the divine feminine.

Our final segment was an interview with Eric the TranscenDancer. Eric is a college professor, natural food advocate and psychedelic dancer. We discussed pre-birth memories, academia, the spirituality of dance and more!

You can watch this show in archive on the Tarot Topics News site.

This coming Sunday, April 14 will feature Tidal Miller. Tidal is a Pagan tarot reader and internet broadcaster who will be hosting his own shows on the Para Encounters Network. Tidal and I will discuss tarot, spirituality and important cultural issues.

Our show this Sunday will feature a lot about tarot, so if you are interested in learning about the cards, make sure you tune in! I will also be giving a review of the new Golden Tarot, a reprinting of the Visconti-Sforza Tarot.

Your One-Card reading this week is the Four of Wands.

Traditionally this is the card of marriage. It can indicate attendance at a wedding.

The Four of Wands is a card of happy celebration in a stable environment. It can indicate a good outcome to any project. It predicts stability, happiness and success.

When you see the Four of Wands you can be sure that your endeavors, whether personal, creative or professional, have the potential to be successful and sustainable.

Inspiration from the Tarot

Tarot can help us find the inspiration we need. Here is a spread to help you find your muse and your motivation.

The overall question for this spread is: What do I need to know or do to find my inspiration?

Each of the three cards will address a specific type of inspiration.

Card 1: Motivation for day-to-day life, responsibilities and career

Card 2: Creative inspiration

Card 3. Spiritual inspiration

You may shuffle and take the first three cards, or fan out the deck and pick the cards from anywhere in the deck. Allow the card that comes up in each position to guide you to your place of inspiration in each area of your life.
