On February 16th, Marcy Currier returned to the Psychic Cafe with some new drawings, and a new concept, for her work-in-progress, the Mystical Frog Tarot. We discussed tarot, creativity, inspiration and creative blocks. It was really interesting to see Marcy's process, as an artist and as a tarotist.

Tarot by Christiana Newsletter 2/13/2013 Love That we are able to love one another and that we are able to feel the power of love is to me the surest proof of the existence of a Higher Power. At Valentine's Day we tend to think only of romantic love. It is important to remember the many different kinds of love that exist. We need to celebrate love in all its forms on Valentine's Day. So often those with difficult love relationships and those who are single find this time of year very challenging. We can use the energy of this special time of year to heal our hearts, to enhance and improve our relationships, to nurture love around us and even to attract a special someone into our lives. Take a moment to think about love in your life, and to be grateful for it. No matter its form, none of us is without love. The more we nurture the love that is present in our lives, the more love will grow in our lives. Meditation in Rhythm Not all meditation has to be done in a specific physical position. In fact, not all meditation has to be done while keeping the body still. You can achieve a meditative state while walking, running, drumming dancing or doing needlework. Any repetitive motion can assist you in achieving a state of mind where you can perform magick and manifestation and hear the voice of the Universe. While there is a great benefit to exploring all traditions of meditation and there is great power in stillness, rhythm also holds a great deal of power. Many people who can't seem to find the time or ability to meditate in stillness are able to meditate in rhythm. The next time you are at the gym or the drum circle, or talking a walk, stringing beads or knitting, allow you mind to open to the Universe. You'll be surprised at the amount of spiritual energy that is available to you in this way! What's Up at the Psychic Café? Last Sunday was our Valentine's Day Special! We welcomed Dominique Tate from BouChic to our Artist's Corner to share some information about her exciting shop and website. Our Magick and Mayhem guest was Ariana Lightningstorm, one of the world's seven certified lipsologists (lip print readers). Christiana received a great lip print reading! We ended the show with a discussion of the origins of Valentine's Day and some psychic readings for audience members. Watch the show in archive! This coming Sunday we welcome fiber artist Kianga Jinaki to the Artist's Corner. Kianga weaves stories into dolls, quilts and tapestries. In Tarot Talk we'll discuss some different tarot deck traditions and take a journey through the suit of Cups. It's all on the Para Encounters Network, Sundays at 9 pm Eastern! Heal Your Heart with the Ace of Cups The Ace of Cups represents the open heart and the healed heart chakra. It represents new love and it represents the ability to give and receive unconditional love. Archetypically, the Ace of Cups is the Holy Grail. If your heart needs healing (and whose doesn't?) take the Ace of Cups from your tarot deck and meditate with it. See your own heart as the cup overflowing with love. Hold the Ace of Cups to your heart and breathe with it for a few moments. Release the hurts in your heart and let this image help to heal you. Justice reminds us to find balance in our lives. It commands us to do the right thing, no matter what. Justice tells that that while things are not fair on Earth, everything balances out in the Universe. We must treat others fairly, even when we ourselves feel treated unfairly. We must do the right thing, even when others do the wrong thing. When you receive this card in a reading it could be an indication of legal matters.
