Visualize! “If you can believe it, you can achieve it!” We’ve heard expressions like this from many different people, including Tupac Shakur and Napoleon Hill. Within this expression is a valuable clue to help us achieve our goals. We have to believe in our goals, and in ourselves. There is another step that is not always clearly spelled out. Not only must you believe in your goals and your ability, you have to be able to visualize your success, to see your achievement before it happens. The imagination – your ability to see things in your mind’s eye – is one of our greatest tools for healing and personal success. If you are able to imagine something wonderful happening in your life, it is much more likely to happen because you have made room for it to happen. Being able to imagine and visualize our own well-being and happy circumstances is a wonderful gift, but it demands a bit of discipline to be effective. It demands that you relinquish negative self-talk and that you be willing to make positive change in your life. If you can believe the future you want is possible, see it happening in your mind’s eye and take the actions needed to make it happen, you are very likely to be successful. |
The Third Eye
Your third eye, brow chakra or sixth chakra, is the seat of your eyesight, your psychic vision and your imagination. The third eye is very important in psychic work. The brow chakra helps you stay connected to your inner guidance. The brow chakra supports your creative work. We use the third eye in visualization and manifestation. The biggest mistake most people make when trying to become more intuitive and expand psychic awareness is actively shutting down the imagination. You can see why this happens. We want authentic psychic experiences. We don’t want them to be “just our imagination.” But when we shut down the imagination, we also shut down our psychic abilities. In tarot reading, or any sort of psychic work, allow your imagination free reign. Your imagination won’t taint the reading. Your imagination will help the reading come together. The same is true with creative visualization, the process of visualizing one’s success in order to create that success. If you can’t imagine yourself wearing a size six it will never happen. If you can’t see yourself working the career that you want you may stay stuck at your job. Take some time to decide what you want in your life. Do you want to be healthier? Would you like to change jobs? Would you like to live somewhere else? What changes would make you happy? Imagine yourself where you want to be. Create the vision for yourself and you will be on the way to making it a reality. |
The Week in Review On February first I was happy to be the wrangler of another Tarot Blog Hop. You can read about the topic and find links to each blog on the Master List, or you can start with my post on my personal blog, Tarot Trends. On our Tarot Topics Community Blog I am happy to have another installment of Linda Moore’s “Tarot in my Life” blog. Discover Linda’s “Serenity Prayer Spread.” I shared some of my theories about tarot in “When Tarot Misbehaves.” On my Dark Forest Blog I wrote about the fact that women are still paid less than men. Read “Equal Pay for Equal Work is a Terrifying Notion.” From Around the Web It’s the first week of the month, so it’s time to see what February has in store for us. See Olivia Destrades’ Tarotscopes for February on her First Earth Tarot blog. Zuri has your February 2014 Starcast. From Arwen Lynch, a podcast featuring your February 2014 Tarotscopes. |
Tarot for Creative Visualization A picture is worth a thousand words. Each tarot picture is an archetype that describes a particular character, lesson, activity, event, experience or department of life. If you look through your deck you can see cards that describe things you would like to have in your life and cards that describe things that are part of your life that no longer serve you. You can use these images to help visualize the changes you want in your life. For instance, you can choose a card that represents something you want to have or do in your life. Visualize yourself actually in the scene of the card. You might become the card character, or your might chose to interact with the card character. Allow the tarot image to move. In your visualization, turn the two-dimensional image into a three-dimensional experience. You can choose a card that represents a problem in your life. Visualize yourself entering the card and solving the problem. As you visualize with the tarot cards you will find solutions to problems. You will create new opportunities for yourself. If you can visualize it, you can create it. |
What's Up at the Psychic Café? My weekly webcast, Christiana’s Psychic Café, airs every Sunday night at 9 pm EST on the Para Encounters Network. The shows are archived on my YouTube channel and on my Tarot Topics Community News site. This past Sunday we enjoyed an encore presentation of last year’s Valentine’s Special. The show featured Certified Lipsologist Ariana Lightningstorm. Ariana read my lip prints live on air. It was fascinating to learn about this unique form of divination. Watch the show in archive on the Tarot Topics news site. This coming Sunday, February 9th, Jordan Hoggard returns to the Psychic Café. Jordan is the designer of Tarot from the Land of Mystereum, and host of Inner State Highways, also on PEN. You can expect some really interesting tarot discussion and some live on-air readings. Be ready to call in and join the conversation! For more information please visit the Show Info page, and don’t forget to like Christiana’s Psychic Café on Facebook! |
Learning Tarot: The Moon The Moon is card eighteen in the Major Arcana. There is a wide range of traditional interpretations for the Moon. Some see the Moon as a warning of treachery. Others see the Moon as a sign of psychic power. Others see the Moon as an indication of spiritual destiny made manifest. The moon in the sky has always been a reference to feminine spirituality, illusions and intuition. The Moon card is no different. Things in the light of the moon look differently than they do in the light of day. Nothing is as it seems. When we see the Moon in a reading we are reminded to look closely, to use our powers of intuition and discernment, to discover what is true and what is not. The Moon may speak to our spiritual path, and advise us to pay attention to spiritual matters. The Moon tells us that we will not always understand why things happen the way they do. There will always be spiritual mysteries. In that, the Moon asks us to trust Spirit. The Moon may tell you to pay attention to your sleeping dreams. When the Moon card appears in a reading it may be asking you to recall a particular dream and discover its significance. The Moon also tells you to use your spiritual gifts – your psychic ability, your ability as a healer and your ability to manifest – to solve your problems. Key words for the Moon include illusion, journey, spirituality, intuition, mystery, dreams and, psychic awareness. Next week we will discuss Major Arcana Nineteen, the Sun! |
Your One-Card Weekly Reading Your one-card reading this week is the Four of Pentacles. The Four of Pentacles is about how you deal with your resources. Often called “The Miser,” this card can discuss the presence of selfish people around you. It may discuss your own fears about lack of resources. The Four of Pentacles can be a reminded to nurture yourself and take care of yourself. It may be time to put yourself first. You may need to learn to say “no” to someone. The Four of Pentacles asks you to rethink the way you view your resources – time, money and energy. Do you worry that you will not have what you need? What if you choose to view your situation differently? Might you be able to manifest a more gracious flow of abundance in your life if you had a different perspective about your resources? |
