Happy Beltane! 
 

Today, May First, is the holiday of Beltane. Beltane is the cross-quarter day between the Vernal Equinox and the Summer Solstice. Around the world Beltane is celebrated by dancing the Maypole, jumping the Belfire, drinking from the Maybowl and the giving of May Baskets.

Beltane is a holiday of fertility. In ancient times this day was celebrated in hopes of good crops and many babies.

Today, not all of us are farmers, and many of us are not interested in fertility in the classic sense.

However, we all want to manifest fertility in some form or another. Whether it is a new job, new health, more money, more love or more creativity you desire, now is the time to make it happen!

May all of the joys of Beltane be yours in the coming spring!

In-Person Readings and Parties in the Tampa Area

After five years in South Florida we have relocated to the Tampa area. We now reside in Lutz, Florida, and are discovering that the West Coast of Florida is different from the East Coast, but every bit as lovely.

I will be returning to South Florida regularly for psychic house parties and other engagements. I am now available in the Tampa area for parties and house calls. I plan to open an office in Lutz very soon.

If you are planning a visit to the Tampa area please let me know. I am happy to make visits to local hotels and resorts.

If you are wondering if I will travel to a particular place for an event please don’t hesitate to call. As you can see, I have quite a sense of adventure!

Find Your Fertility at Beltane!

Here is a great exercise to help you find, focus on and manifest your fertility at this special time of year.

The question is this. What do you want to manifest? What do you want to bring to life?

Is it a creative project? Perhaps you want a new job, or a new relationship? Perhaps you want to nurture better health?

Whatever new energy you most desire, now is the time to make it happen.

Look through your tarot deck, or any oracle deck. Find images that represent to you the things you want to bring in to your life at this time. You can choose as many cards as you like. Remember, you are not picking cards at random. Instead, you are choosing the images that represent your desires.

Lay the cards out in front of you, and light a candle. As the flame grows, picture the things you desire growing in your life.

Focus on the card images, and see how they represent your desires.

Visualize your desires coming to fruition.

Hold that vision in your mind, knowing that the energy of your vision, the card images and this time of year can combine to help you manifest your desires.

What's Up at the Psychic Café?

Last Sunday the Psychic Café featured an interview with Mary Nale, founder and editor of Attune Magazine.

You might think that a magazine editor would be stuffy and boring. Mary is far from it! We talked about our crazy youth, the Grateful Dead, tarot and all other kinds of interesting things.

Then, we were off for a trip to Hoop Camp!

This coming Sunday, May 5th, we will have an encore presentation of the Psychic Café. This was one of our most popular episodes, featuring tarot designer Marcy Currier and tantrika Lourdes Starshower.

Lourdes will give us a frank look at her work as a tantric healer.

Your One-Card Weekly Reading

Your one-card reading this week is the Five of Wands.

I always like to ask the person I am reading for what they see in this card.

Some see the people in the card as fighting. Others see the people in the card building something together.

In a reading, both can be true. There is always a certain amount of conflict during the creative process.

The number five in tarot is about expansion. We are pushing past the comfort zone of the four, and moving toward the victory of the six.

Moving out of the comfort zone is always a bit tricky.

When we see the Five of Wands we may be in an uncomfortable situation. We may be in conflict. But we are in the process of building something new, or of making something wonderful happen.

The Four Elements and the Major Arcana

The four elements of life are Earth, Air, Fire and Water. They each have metaphysical properties as well as physical properties.

The four elements correlate with the four suits of the Minor Arcana of the tarot. They also correlate with individual cards of the Major Arcana.
